Lots of southern fun!!

So while we have been in Louisiana we have been able to do some fun things & I have not been able to blog about them so here are some pic's to catch up & let everyone know what has been happening.

       THE CIRCUS
We try to find fun stuff to do here in Louisiana because I get bored while Mark is at work.  We basically gave up our summer and family time to come out here, so Mark tries to make it fun as possible.  I found a big sign at the river center here in Baton Rouge that Bartamen Baily Circus was coming to town so I told Mark I wanted to go. I have never been to a circus before so I thought it was a lot of fun but everyone else said it was super lame, oh well can't please everyone:)  I really liked the elephants and I think Paislee did too, I know she is sort of little to even notice but it was still fun.

CABALLA'S & DADDY'S (MARK'S) GUN!!
Mark was selling so well that we decided one week if he sold 10 systems he could buy his long awaited AR15/308 semi-automatic rifle.  Well.... he did it and now this beauty is his fathers day/ Birthday gift:) Brian his brother also gave him an incentive that if he sold ten he would pay for a scope. So now Mark has an awesome rifle but no where to shoot it till we get home. He was so excited and I must admit it is pretty sweet!! Check out Paislee's hat she tried on at caballa's:)

BUBBLES WITH PAISLEE
Like I said before I get bored a lot out here, just me and Paislee hanging out!  I bought bubbles to see what she thought of them as well as to entertain myself HAHAHA.  She liked them ok but like most things she really just wanted to eat them.

Louisiana Adventures!

So it has been about 2 1/2 months since we left Utah!  So crazy but everything is going well Mark is loving the job (most of the time) & he is doing well at it.  I am pretty bored most of the time, but I do hang out with some of the other wives that are out here so it is fun making new friends.  The drive out here was around 30 hours!!  So you would think that little Paislee would be screaming like most babies/children/adults confined to a seat belt would be:) Well she is truly the best baby ever & only cried twice yes twice the entire trip.  However lately she has really been hating her car seat so going home I think will be a whole other story:)  The drive was fun, I thought that me & Mark would be dying but it was nice to just be together, talk, & have a sort of vacation.  Our apartment is very nice & we are blessed with a pool which has been my entertainment, we even have a washer & dryer in the apartment!! Hooray!! I thought that I would have to be stuck going to a creepy laundry mat in a city let alone state that I am completely uncomfortable in.  So at first I was unsure about Louisiana, it is true that Utah is a bubble (I can't lie that I was ok with that)  But the people here are really nice & our ward is so friendly & welcoming.  I really do like it here other then the horrible heat with even worse humidity, but even this I have become used to.
Paislee has been growing so much & has hit some major milestones in a little girls life:)  First she now sits completely on her own with out falling & if she starts to wobble she catches herself, I am a proud mommy.  Then she has grown enough hair to put not only one ponytail but piggytails too!!  She is scooting/crawling all over.  She has not perfected the actual crawl yet but rocks on her knees in an attempt.  She is also eating baby food we started with carrots & now she eats it all:)  She also is baby talking a lot too & I swear she said MAMA!!  Ok so it might have been just a coincidence but I can clam it right?:)  So in a nut shell we are doing pretty good this summer even though we miss our families like crazy it is an adventure we will never forget!    Here are some pics.

PJ Movie Night

My sisters Mindy & Kristie & their husbands Bob & Grin have done a lot for me and Mark since we got married & especially since Paislee was born. So we wanted to show our appreciation, we sent them to a show & dinner at the Desert Star.  We also decided to watch all their kids by having a PJ movie night. We had all their kids meet us at Grin & Kristie's, this was convenient for them & gave us an opportunity to spend time with our nieces and nephews before we left for Louisiana.  Mark downloaded How to Train a Dragon.  The sound was quiet but the kids loved it, we also loved it & the fun time & memories that we made.  I can't wait to get back home and create more memories like this for Paislee & her cousins on both sides of our family!!

The Girls!!

Las Vegas

Our last family trip before we came out to Louisiana was to Las Vegas.  Roger & Diana invited us, Roger had a work convention so we joined them with both our little babies Paislee & Mason.  We had so much fun it was a great trip.  We stayed in the Mandalay Bay for the first 2 nights & then the Luxor for our last night.  We were spoiled with the Mandalay huge room and awesome pool Luxor was still really nice but just a basic hotel room.  We were able to go to the Tournament of the Kings, Bodies Museum, Titanic museum, & a all you can eat seafood buffet.  I usually don't like buffets but this one was really good I love sea food!!  It was really nice of Roger and Diana to invite us and it was fun to have a trip and time with just them.  Thanks guys!! Unfortunately these are the only pics I have.

First bites of baby cereal

At Paislee's 4 month Doctor visit he told us that we could start giving her baby cereal if she seemed interested.  Well she continually would watch us eat and I felt so bad she would look at us like "Give me Some"  so we were excited to give her "real" food & she was even more excited to get to eat it:)
Sorry about all the short entries I am trying to catch up because I am getting the Internet & I got a camera cord so I can upload my pictures on the computer so hope you all enjoy!!

Thursday Picnics

Back at home me Mark & Paislee didn't get to much time together but on Thursdays Mark had a break in between classes. We would always get Marks favorite Mt. Dew & little Ceasers pizza, then find a local park and spend sometime together we loved this & was my highlight of the week.  Now that we are in Louisiana we get a lot more time together, but I do miss our little picnics.  I guess its one thing to look forward to when Mark starts school again here are some pic's of our last one before the summer!

Before & After

So before we came to Louisiana I wanted to get the house super clean, that way when we get home that will be one thing I won't have to worry about (I am my Mothers daughter).  Well I took on a big job and decided to clean our sofa & love seat they were a sweet gift from Marks parents when we got our house. They are in excellent condition especially considering Mark comes from a family of boys!!  So they were a little bit dirty not that anyone ever noticed but I needed a project & I am a bit of a clean freak so it worked out great & they now look brand new!!  Thanks Roger & Gina
